RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Point Park dropped a 5-1 final in a non-conference match at Felician University on Wednesday afternoon in New Jersey.
Felician scored two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game and added to its lead with three second-half goals in the win.
Fridolin Gefrorer scored Point Park's lone goal in the game, a penalty kick in the 40
th minute to make the halftime score 2-1.
Felician was led by Samuel Macy with two second-half goals in the game. Ayato Kaneko recorded two assists for the Golden Falcons.
Felician held a 15-5 advantage in shots, including an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. The Golden Falcons also had a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks. Both goalkeepers recorded three saves in the game, as
Gus Wytcherley made his first start of the season for the Pioneers.
Point Park will return to action on Sunday afternoon with a MEC road match at Frostburg State. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
