ADRIAN, Mich. -- Point Park University competitive dance finished out the regular season with a high finish of third place of nine teams at the Siena Heights (Mich.) Saints Spectacular on Sunday, Feb. 12.
The Pioneers pulled in one of their higher scores of the year with a team total of 80.60 points. That increased their overall scoring average for the season to 79.18 for the year.
The Siena Heights Saints Spectacular was stacked with some of the top teams in the region. Point Park was behind only team champion Thomas More (Ky.) with an 82.50 and St. Francis (Ill.) with an 80.85. Point Park joined those two as the only teams scoring above 80 on the day.
Next up for the the Pioneers are the NAIA Competitive Dance Regional qualifier, which will be in Bowling Green, Ky., this year for the Pioneers. Point Park will be competing with mainly Mid-South Conference schools at that meet with the winner advancing to the NAIA National Championship finals March 10-11 in Michigan
