LEBANON, Pa. -- Point Park University women's cross country claimed second place of 14 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday. The Pioneers did so behind Anna Shields and Alyssa Boyd placing first and second individually and Kara Rohlf making it three from Point Park in the top 10 in 10th place.
The Pioneers trailed only team champion Lebanon Valley in the standings. The Dutchmen placed four runners in top 10 and seven in the top 20. Point Park had five in the top 20 and seven in the top 25.
Shields was by herself with a winning time of 17 minutes, 47 seconds in the 5K. Teammate Boyd was next at 19:22, and she led third place by 21 seconds. Rohlf had a time of 19:57 to earn 10th place.
Also scoring for Point Park were Kylie Archibeque in 15th place at 20:23 and Abby O'Connell in 18th place at 20:37. Rounding out the top seven for the Pioneers were Taylor Celich (21:06) in 24th and Kayla Roberts (21:13) in 25th.
