PITTSBURGH – The Point Park University women's soccer team is back on the pitch in 2017 with two conference championships under its belt and a host of incoming athletes to add to the roster.

The Pioneers look to build on back-to-back trips to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round with returning starters, 2016 River States Conference First Team nominee Izzy Hunter, Gabby Widman (2016 RSC Second Team), Noel Hartle, Nikki Polens and Abby Magliocca, to name a few.

Last season, the Pioneers were 10-8-2 (6-2 RSC) and won the RSC Tournament to advance to the NAIA national tournament for the second year in a row.

"I am confident we have a talented incoming class that not only can come in and impact the first team, but also make a difference in the overall success of our program," Kuhn said. "I am eager to get started. I have seen both incoming and returning players committed to doing work this summer, which makes me even more excited for the fall."

The Pioneers welcome nine freshman and one transfer in the incoming class. Coach Kuhn will have a wealth of senior leadership on this year's team, as well as a number of returning athletes who saw significant playing time last season to balance out the incoming talent.
