The Pioneers also competed at NAIAs in Salem, Ore., in 2013, and in Daytona Beach, Fla., in 2014 and 2015. The Pioneers are seeking to make the cut at the national tournament for the first time since 1969, the only other time the program made nationals. That year, Point Park finished third at the NAIA tournament in Fort Worth, Texas.

The tournament begins on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. with the players going off in threesomes. Point Park's opening tee time is in the afternoon sessions and goes off of the 10th tee at 1:20 p.m. The Pioneers are paired with The Master's (Calif.) and the individual qualifiers.
