About Us -- Point Park University Athletics

Point Park University athletics is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the River States Conference (RSC). 

The Pioneers sponsor 17 varsity sports that compete intercollegiate level. Athletic scholarships are awarded to student-athletes as allowed by the NAIA. 

Point Park was founded in 1960 and has been a member of the NAIA since 1967. In its 50 years of existence, the Pioneers athletic department has won numerous conference championships and has been represented at many NAIA national championship events. 

Point Park joined the River States Conference in 2012, and the conference at the time was named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The league launched a re-branding effective July 1, 2016 to become the River States Conference.
